Alleviate Pain. Rehabilitate Injuries. Move Better!

At some point in your life, you will experience pain and suffer from injury. But you are not powerless. Your body is not fragile. It is strong and adaptable. With the right education, exercise strategies, and mindset, you can figure out what’s wrong and take the first steps toward healing. That is exactly what you will learn how to do in Rehab Science.

In this book, you will gain:

  • A foundational understanding of pain science—and how to treat both acute and chronic pain conditions
  • The ability to systematically address injuries—identify the type of injury you have and implement the right methods and exercises
  • Step-by-step programs for improving movement and mobility and increasing strength and tissue capacity
  • Pain-relieving and injury-healing strategies, including soft tissue massage, stretching, mobility, and resistance exercise
  • The confidence and education to make informed decisions—like whether or not to get surgery
  • Insight on how to prevent injuries and future flare-ups

Being armed with such knowledge removes the fear and anxiety associated with pain and injury and frees you up to take charge of your health. Because there are solutions. Whether you have pain from unknown causes, you sustained an injury, or you have chronic pain and nothing else has worked, the protocols give you a clear blueprint to follow. Simply go to the body region where you feel pain or have an injury, choose the protocol that matches your symptoms or condition, and start following the three-phase exercise program.

This book provides 30 programs for the most common pain and injuries in every body region:

  • Low back pain
  • Sprains and strains—including ankle and wrist sprains, hamstring strains, and whiplash
  • Nerve pain—such as sciatica, carpal tunnel, herniated discs, and lumbar stenosis
  • Tendinopathies—like tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, hip flexor, gluteal, and patellar tendinopathy
  • Ligament and tendon tears—Achilles, rotator cuff, hamstring, groin, ACL, MCL, LCL, and PCL
  • Shoulder and hip impingements
  • Dislocations and labral tears
  • Meniscus tears
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Shin splints
  • Arthritis—neck, knee, and hip
  • And much, much more

If you want the power to get out of pain and rehab your injury—and to do as much as possible on your own—look no further than Rehab Science.

I preordered this book 12-25-22, and just received it yesterday. It didn’t disappoint, and is was well worth the wait. This book is thoroughly complete, from explaining aspects of pain and injury to rehabilitation. Rehab is further divided into sections of the body, with protocols and descriptions of each phase of recovery. It is written so the average non-medical person can easily understand the directions. You learn what each phase is, why it’s important, and photographs to guide you thru each move. The photographs accompanying each movement are extremely helpful. Each protocol is complete, from position to number of reps to how often to perform. This format is consistent throughout the book, making it easy to follow.
For all you Anatomy geeks out there (like me), the illustrations of the bones, nerves, muscles, and pain areas are all brilliantly illustrated and easy to understand.

On another note, the book is arranged simply and perfectly. The photography and illustrations are superb, and complete. The paper is high quality, and although bound (not spiral), it lies perfectly open if it’s lying on the floor next to you. Everything is in color, font is easy to read, sentences are nicely spaced. At the end of the book, there is both an index, as well as an exhaustive list of references.

This book was not rushed, but painstakingly and superbly put together to help us all understand the aches, pains, pops and cracks we endure to stay fit. I am thrilled to have this in my library, and kudos to both Dr. Tom Walters and Glen Cordoza for producing a fabulous book. I am so grateful.

Dr. Walters book is phenomenal. I had a knee cap dislocation and these exercises have helped recover my knee within 3 months. I’ll be back to kickboxing in no time! Thank you !!

I’ve had PT many times for various sports injuries. This book has helped me pinpoint each problem and given me directions for rehab. If you only have one problem this book is overkill. Many exercises are used for multiple ailments so they repeat. In my opinion why add a different exercise ff one works. The book isn’t perfect but compared to other books I’ve looked at the flaws are minimal. Definitely worth the cost if you really can’t to know and improve hips, thighs, shoulders, back etc

This has been my absolute go to for programming and also for my own training. Thank you so much for this this book!

I am about halfway through this book and already, I have such a better understanding of pain. I am a movement teacher and I’ve been able to use this knowledge for my clients as well as family members who are in chronic pain. This book offers explanations that are understandable and clear. I’m looking forward to using this book for years in the future.

I bought this book for my best friend who is a physical therapist and this is her review below.
“I appreciate how practical this book is. I can see all the exercises, read about it, and apply it to my patients. I recommended it to all physical therapists and everyone else that wants to learn.”

  10. Corgimum (verified owner)

My back is not great. Most days I can’t stand up straight due to pain from disc degeneration and spondylolisthesis. I’ve been doing some of the exercises in Phases 1-3 of back pain and it is helping tremendously. Highly recommend this book!

  11. Amy L (verified owner)

I use this book to mobilize and rehab on my own after an injury. I love and appreciate PTs but it’s great to have a reference to show me what to do the n my own first. I love the 3 phases of rehab. All 3 can be used as a warmup for a sport. The explanation of pain is quite readable for a non-PT such as myself.

I bought this book for my brother, who has been working as a professional rehabilitator for many years. He has a professional higher education in this direction and many courses. For him, this book was a real discovery, here he found a lot of new methods and tools for work. The book really worthy of attention for people who specialize in this, as well as for students who are just mastering this specialty. Thank you very much!!!

I love this book, it has pics, a step by step proper explanation of movements, and 3 phases to follow same as if you were to go to a Physical Therapist in person sessions. I call it my PORTABLE PT (portable Physical Therapist)

  19. Marenda (verified owner)

This book is laid out so well and easy to follow. If you live long enough, you will have some imbalance. I bought this because I work with seniors in the fitness industry. However, it was my husband who immediately received value when he had severe neck pain the day after the book arrived. He followed the protocol for his issue and had relief without having to ever go to a physical therapist, or a doctor. You don’t need to have a medical degree or be in the fitness industry to get incredible value out of this book. If your on the fence, buy it!

  23. M. A. Johnston (verified owner)

This product is very helpful and like that I can use pictures for home education programs with student athletes.

  24. Gracie (verified owner)

I love how this book is laid out and the scientific descriptions at the beginning of each chapter. I injured my shoulder a year ago and have done PT for SLAP and rotator cuff tears, but it wasn’t until I got this book that I was able to work the painful parts of my shoulder missing from previous PT routines. It was such a relief to see all my symptoms listed after a year of trying to explain them to different doctors and physical therapists. Before paying for a doctor’s visit, X-ray, MRI, and PT, I highly recommend getting this book.

  25. Will G (verified owner)

On a surface level, the book is beautiful. On a more in-depth level, the information contained is explained in a fantastic way to help! Both as a nurse or if you are not experienced with medical lingo
