Description
Is a vegan diet healthier? Should I try going low-carb? Is it always a bad idea to skip a meal? Are superfoods all they’re cracked up to be? Is fat still bad for you? Can I eat to improve my chances of conceiving?
Science of Nutrition cuts through the noise of conflicting diet advice with clear answers backed up by the very latest research.
Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to nutrition, this ground-breaking book has the answers to all your food-related questions, covering every conceivable topic—from gut bacteria to weight management, to heart health and immune support, to vegan diets and intermittent fasting, and everything in between.
With an accessible Q&A approach and informative graphics, this nutrition book will debunk popular food myths and diets, redefine nutrition in the modern world, and enable you to make informed decisions that are best suited to you, about what, when, and how to eat.
The book’s easily digestible and evidence-based advice empowers you to explore the benefits and importance of nutrition, alongside the downright misleading when it comes to the world of food and diet, and to equip yourself with the knowledge and confidence to assess and enhance your approach to nutrition.

I can’t recommend this book highly enough. The amount of information available on all different aspects of nutrition and health is invaluable. Never before have I read a book with this level of detail. Love it thank you so much! Going to buy another copy for my daughter.

Love it. It’s so well written and informative. It’s so hard to know what is right or wrong in a world where there is so much conflicting information and this book cuts through the Bs.

So well laid out, packed full of extremely easy,
uncomplicated information! And WOW is it a fascinating read when you’re no
longer dieting and instead reading from the perspective of health/what feels good/how to nourish your body.
I love that Rhiannon covers the fact dieting is
unsustainable within this book and covers what does work from a nutritionist perspective.
As someone who has gone from dieter to eating intuitively, it was so important in the beginning (beginning’ being a very long time for me!) to eat all the less nutritious foods in abundance to completely neutralise them.
I’m at a stage where the nutrition part is sinking in, and I’m no longer looking to eat for weight loss, I’m looking to eat for what feels good in my body, what serves my body and what makes me feel my best. Weight loss happens to be a by product of no longer overeating as a result of the psychological work I’ve I done/continue to do.
But this book is somewhat really helping with this mind/body connection I’ve got going on, in terms of ‘what’ I’m eating, by explaining everything so straightforward!
I highly recommend!
Thank you Rhiannon for gracing us all with this little piece of treasure that just so happens to look gorgeous on my bookshelf!

Book is geeat, I learned a lot and explained some things also to my kids. I wish nutrition was taught at school. It’s basic, but few people know the fundamentals of healthy eating.

This book is designed to answer the “whys” (or the Frequently Asked Questions) to the “whats” of nutritional eating from a respected nutritionist. I thought the book content was excellent.

This lovely and thoughtful book is a read that can teach us a broader view on a healthy lifestyle,. The Science of Nutrition should be taught from a young age to aid all humans on the importance of a healthy eating life style that transcends into a happier life. We all need to be active in our overall well being.
My husband and I are retired chefs and have always maintained high food standards and eating habits. In this world of quick food/quick life we are doing a dis service to ourselves.
Your book is wonderfully written for the lay person and full of great knowledge. Clearly written, gorgeous illustrations and photography.
Knowledge is power.

This book breaks down the topic of nutrition into short bites (pun intended) that allow the reader to focus on what is applicable to them. Excellent.

I purchased this to have nutritional information all in one place. But having listened to many pod casts on the subject I was easily able to see there are quite a few mistakes in here. For those that are just looking for an high level overview it’s fine but those looking to change their diet then the mistakes could be an issue.

Very interesting has a lot of detail

Designed for lay readers although some may find it too complex. Occasional half truths irritate but on the whole a useful book.

It was a very very good read. It was great to understand the fundamentals of food and nutrition. I think I loved how descriptive it was, it also covered the misconceptions about foods and food habits. It is a very amazing book, everyone must read it. You would know how to eat better afterwards and even while reading this book. “You would know yourself better when you read this book” is the best thing that I can say about this book.
